Do cats really need all that attention?

If you could describe my cat in one word, that word would be "aloof" She's very independent and it can be easy to forget how much she needs attention! In fact, all cars are social creatures, and they miss you when you're at work all day! But why is this? What in nature makes them seek out attention when they need it most?

Contrary to popular belief, cats are social animals that form strong bonds with their owners. Domesticated over thousands of years, cats see their owners as part of their pack. In the wild, cats live in colonies, grooming and playing together. This social nature translates to their behavior at home.

Cats need Mental Stimulation

Cats are intelligent creatures needing mental engagement. Without interaction, they can become bored, leading to destructive behaviors like scratching furniture or incessant meowing.

Cats see you as their provider

Cats rely on their owners for food, water, and shelter. Attention-seeking ensures their needs are met, particularly for indoor cats with limited outdoor access.

Keep Cats Happy
